LEGOs!!!

Lego used to be a toys for the rich kids. I believe it’s still the case except for the fact that parents now are more willing to spend on their kids. I would also definitely agree that building Lego toys certainly does help in the development of little children.
Growing up in a world without Logo bricks, I never knew what it is really like to play those little bricks. With 3 children to feed at home, my dad hardly buy any toys for us. Our toys often consist of hand – me – downs from older cousins. (Not that we really care if they were new or old toys) The only new toy I remember my dad buying for us was fake Lego bricks and we didn’t really know they are fake till much older. They are just 1 size bricks in red, blue and yellow without any playing instructions of what to build. I had a great time with them lashing out my creativity.
I was at Takashimaya last Friday with one of my Bestie. We passed by the Lego shop and we had the following conversation in Chinese -
Me: I have never play with Lego before
Bestie: Your birthday coming. I’ll buy for you then.
Me: I thought you had already bought my present the other day?
Bestie: No. I went to scout only. Haven’t buy.
Me: Huh? Dun want la..I’m only saying. I believe I will play it for a while and throw it aside somewhere at my house loh..
Bestie: Never mind la…just for you to play loh
Me: (thinking: …………….. no I don’t want Lego as my present)
What amazes me was the Lego house by James May done in 2008.

There was an article featured in Daily Mail about it.
Another issue to rave about regarding Legos – LegoLand will be open this year October in Johor Bahru. Yippee!! Now we have more reason to visit our neighbour apart from food and shopping.
Wow…violent!!!

Lego has been the love of all kids since the early 90s. my parents couldn’t afford the expensive plastic bricks, therefore the counterfeit version was bought for our little pleasure when my siblings and i were young.
But has fans of the little bricks been trying to follow trend of violent and terrorism that they are turning these harmless bricks to some shootout adventure with enemies??
